Allowing myself to play again

This sketch has been on my Arches pad for months. I think I was satisfied with the sketch but I didn’t jump to painting right away. Perhaps I was busy with commissions, art projects and collabs during that time. Or maybe I felt that painting a personal work on an expensive paper is not justifiable.

Finally trying ARTEZA Gouache!

Arteza is one of brands that keeps popping in my YouTube recommendations and I watched several videos of artists using their watercolor, colored pencils, gouache, etc… So much so that I wished that Arteza actually ships to the Philippines (sadly that remains a wish) so I can try their products.

Used my Cotman watercolors set but this was on a 200gsm paper. I was really trying hard not to put too much water while finding the best shade for skin.Experimented with ink pens + watercolor. I’ve been busy. I have decided to study for a CAPM certificate and, like anything I do, there is fear that I won’t pass.
