I changed the name of my blog and decided to capture #ootds of fashion bloggers in different wonderful colors. Or in this one’s case, Zoe Suen‘s love for neutral palettes and boots. Those boots – I covet!!!
I reflected on my love for browsing fashion blogs. My excuse is to get material to draw but in reality this is my subtle way of shopping. Looking through fashion blogs is like browsing a catalogue, making mental notes on what to look for when I visit the mall. And true enough I find myself drawn to outfits I have seen so expertly styled by fashion bloggers. I could probably never carry it off as well as they do but I try.
An example for instance, I went to Just G at SM southmall last weekend, the clothes are so freaking cute! I went over the sale rack (who doesn’t?) and took a couple of items to try on. The sweater was a size 2, meaning medium. It was mid-drib baring, meaning you gotta wear a camisole or if you are confident, show off your belly button. I also tried on a white sleeveless peplum top with little eyelets. Nothing fit me. As in, nothing. Not because of size but because I am no longer a teen, I don’t look like I could be cutesy and girly even when I wear their clothes. I looked at myself in the mirror while wearing the cute clothes – I look like an adult trying hard to be a teenager. I felt so sad.
But maybe I was just bloated from eating too much nachos for lunch. I will try clothes in Just G again, when I feel prettier. Cute clothes – You. Will. Fit. Me.
